I am Henry Schroeder, who published a handful of suburban weekly newspapers and shoppers for 32 years in the Madison, Wisconsin area. I am a past-president of the Wisconsin Newspaper Association and have supported many local chambers of commerce and many community groups over the years. I know, from first-hand experience, how much a dedicated community group can accomplish by working together for a common goal. We, you, can stop the drug addiction and abuse in your community by distributing these drug abuse booklets NOW. Present the truth about drug addiction to kids and adults in your world. Help people prevent drug abuse or seek drug addiction help, if needed.

FAQ's
Q. Is it true that "A little bit of marijuana won't hurt you?" Or is that a
myth?
A. It's a myth. There are incidents in which people, usually young people,
have died after only one session of usage. The after-effects of street drugs stay
with you for a lifetime, causing physical and mental damage.
Q. My kid will never take drugs.
A. That, too often, is not the case. The druggies are tempting kids every
day. A survey taken a few years ago showed that 45% of the children in the
U.S. public schools have tried either alcohol or drugs, or are using them,
by the 8th grade.
Q. What can I as one person do to help in this fight?
A. Plenty and right from you own home, business or club. For example, choose
a project whereby you can distribute anti-drug education booklets out into
your community, your home, your office, or lobby and also raise funds for your group. Just having the FACTS on
drugs available to anyone who wishes to educate himself or herself is a huge
step forward.
